MetaMask is a blockchain wallet used for storing and managing EVM-based digital assets. It functions as an extension on browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Brave. With MetaMask, you can easily send, receive, and store ETH and ERC-20 tokens. Additionally, it allows you to interact with decentralized applications (dApps) directly from your browser, enabling you to use blockchain-based services without leaving the webpage you're on. Think of MetaMask as a gateway that lets you access the world of decentralized finance and applications securely and conveniently.
If you don't have a MetaMask wallet setup yet, please, refer to their official Getting Started guide by the link. Once you install the MetaMask browser extension, open it and follow the prompts to create your wallet. You may also find these MetaMask and CoinGecko video guides helpful.
After you create a wallet, you will need to top up it with crypto assets to put your money to work. If you are not new to crypto, you can send funds from your other wallets, exchanges, etc. to your new MetaMask wallet. Otherwise, please see How can I put my money to work on Primex?
To start earning on Primex with your MetaMask wallet, please, follow the steps below.
Step 1. Click on the Connect Wallet button in the upper right corner of the Primex App website
Step 2. Choose METAMASK from the available options in the pop-up window
Step 3. Select the desired account and confirm the connection in MetaMask
Step 4. Switch your network
To start interacting with the Primex App, you need to switch the network to one of the supported networks in your MetaMask. If the wrong network is chosen, you will be notified and prompted to switch it in MetaMask.
Choose one of the networks from the drop-down, and the App will propose you add a new network if you haven't added it earlier or switch the network if it's already been added. You will see windows similar to what is shown in the MetaMask screenshot below but with the selected network settings. Confirm adding or switching the network in the MetaMask window.
When the wallet is connected, the chosen network name will be shown in the header.
You can also change the network manually. To do so, open your MetaMask extension and choose the preferred network from the drop-down list.
After that, the Primex App will automatically switch to the preferred network.
NOTE: For safety purposes, we recommend disconnecting your wallet when you are not working with Primex. To do so, click on your wallet address in the upper-right corner and click Disconnect.
